Galdín proud sponsor of the annual benefit for Groupe Paradoxe Galdín

Galdín is proud to have participated as a sponsor for the Groupe Paradoxe annual benefit fundraiser held on November 20th. The event was held at the Paradoxe Theatre in Ville-Émard / Côte-St-Paul in Montreal’s South-West district and was hosted by the dynamic Christian Bégin with performance by several guests such as Marie-Élaine Thibert,  Beyries, Pilou, Ines Talbi, Valérie Blau and Halina Bernard.

Groupe Paradoxe is a not-for-profit organization which helps with the social/economical integration of young people between the ages of 18 and 35 through a training program in the technical theatre/show-business professions. Each year 30 new apprentices join the 7-month program to learn new skills in the industry. With an impressive 92% success rate, the program has helped over 700 young people regain control of their lives.

In order to help these young people gain work experience with their newly learnt skillsets, the organization decided to set up its own theater: the Théâtre Paradoxe. This eco-responsible theater with its unique character is at once a place of training for young people within socioprofessional integration, a multidisciplinary cultural scene, and a lever of urban revitalization.

For Galdín, sponsoring this event was a must in order to support Groupe Paradoxe’s exemplary actions for the socio-economical impact they have on the program’s young apprentice technicians. They are a model for their preservation of an exceptional historic building and for their contribution within the economic and cultural fabric of the Ville-Émard/Côte-St-Paul neighborhood.
